On September 24, the Chicago Association of REALTORS® (C.A.R.) will hold its 132nd Annual Inaugural Gala. The event, hosted at the Hilton Chicago, will install new leadership for 2015-16, as well as issue awards to its newly inducted members of the C.A.R. Hall of Fame. The inaugural gala will also recognize A.R.E. Partners President Antje Gehrken as one of the newest members of its Board of Directors.
"It's a great honor and privilege," said Ms. Gehrken. "There were limited positions available for a large group of really stellar candidates. When I got the call, I was absolutely elated, especially as it came on the heels of being honored as Entrepreneur of the Year by the Women's Council of Realtors."
Ms. Gehrken will also serve as the Vice Chair of C.A.R.'s Professional Development Advisory Group, the goal of which is to identify professional development topics, classes, events and new programs that would be of value to the members of CAR and the greater Chicagoland real estate community.
Established in 1883, C.A.R. - the "Voice for Real Estate" in Chicago - boasts approximately 13,000 members in the Chicagoland area with a diverse range of real estate specialties, from residential sales to property management. The induction of Gehrken to its Board of Directors, in effect, represents a marriage of C.A.R.'s resources and authority in Chicago real estate with A.R.E. Partners' quickly rising star. A.R.E., which pioneered the MACH3 approach to real estate, similarly features a diverse community of realtors, including residential, commercial and business brokers.
The 132nd Annual Inaugural Gala, which, according to its website, is described as "the premier night for the real estate industry in Chicago," promises to be a glamorous black-tie affair and the biggest real estate event of the year. The gala will take place Thursday, Sept. 24, from 5:30 to 9:00 p.m. Tickets to the event are available now.
